1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how [INPUT: legal entity name] ("The Tech", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use thetech.plus, our Discord community, and our products and services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. What we collect
Information you provide or authorise:
- Discord account information. When you connect via Discord OAuth we receive your Discord user ID and username, and we may add you to our Discord server with your authorisation.
- Email address. Collected by Whop at checkout and shared with us where needed for receipts, access notifications, booking confirmations, and service communications.
- TradingView username. Provided by you so we can grant access to eligible indicators or tools on your TradingView account.
- Mentor call bookings. Booking details supplied through Whop, including time slot you book and details needed to create the calendar event and video call link.
- Communications. Messages you send us, including support requests.
Payment information: Payments and subscriptions are handled by Whop under its own privacy policy. This site does not collect payment information directly while purchases are routed through Whop. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only the information needed to provide and support the Service.
Information collected automatically: Standard technical logs when you use the website (such as IP address, request paths, timestamps, and error logs) used for security, debugging, and service operation. Whop handles checkout information and applies our geographic purchase restrictions under its own privacy policy. We use session cookies for protected customer and admin areas. 3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Provide the Service: grant and revoke Discord roles and TradingView access based on your subscription; process bookings and create calendar events and video call links;
- Process payments, subscriptions, cancellations, refunds, and disputes through Whop;
- Send transactional emails (receipts, access confirmations, booking confirmations, payment failure notices) and, where permitted, service updates. Marketing emails, if any, will include an unsubscribe option;
- Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse (including detection of account sharing), and enforce our Terms of Service;
- Comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers needed to operate the Service, and only for the purposes above:
- Whop (checkout, payment, subscription, and booking management);
- Discord (community access and role management);
- TradingView (granting access to eligible indicators or tools linked to your TradingView username);
- Google (calendar events and video call links for mentor bookings);
- Resend (email delivery);
- Supabase (database hosting) and Replit (application hosting).
Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. Some providers may store data outside the country where you are located. By using the Service you consent to this handling.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or in connection with enforcing our Terms, protecting our rights, or a business sale or restructure.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Entitlement and payment records are retained after cancellation for accounting, dispute, and audit purposes. 6. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including: payment handling through Whop (no card data touches our servers); server-side redaction of financial data in our administrative tools; separate authentication systems for administrative and customer access; and secrets management for all credentials. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights and choices
You may:
- Access or correct personal information we hold about you;
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law;
- Unsubscribe from any non-essential emails via the link in those emails;
- Disconnect integrations (for example, leave the Discord server) at any time, noting this may end your access to paid features without ending billing; cancel through Whop to stop billing.
To exercise these rights, contact trade@thetech.plus. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may have the right to contact a privacy regulator or consumer protection authority where available.
8. Children
The Service is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
